Poetry from The Well

Morning Fog

The kettle’s steamy kiss
promises tea hot enough
to stir a foggy mind,
splashing past teeth
that catch the light
coming through the blinds.

The kettle’s whistle dies
at its own pace.

  1. I really like your blog. Your poetry is beautiful, and some of your posts, like the one about workplace confrontation really resonate with me. I think we’re alike in many ways. Unfortunately my poetry is awful.
